Estancia Las Loicas is a privately owned farm located where the forest, the steppe, and the Atlantic Ocean come together. Around 85% of our land is untouched native forest, a landscape we protect but also love to explore.
In the lower part of the property you will find accommodations, the garden and the area we shre with animals: the horses, sheep and the chickens.
From the moment our family arrived here, we felt it, this is a place to grow something meaningful. For ourselves, for our daughter, and for those we welcome here.

We host small groups of guests, either fort he day or for a stay for a nights in one of our warm and comfortable cabins. Right in front of our house lies the shipwreck Desdémona, ready to explore. Just around the corner the iconic Cabo San Pablo lighthouse. And don’t miss the long, wild beach where the wind invites us to play with our blokarts.

Some of the activities we offer

Blokarting on the beach, enjoying a traditional Argentine asado, exploring the forest by foot or ATV, fishing in the river, helping in the garden, feeding the animals or going for a mountain bike ride through the area.

You can also visit our neighbors Miguel and Silvia, local fishermen who have a small restaurant near the coast where they prepare fresh fish and seafood.

Some guests come mainly to explore and be active, others just enjoy slowing down for a few days, spending time outside, sitting around the fire, walking along the beach or being around the horses and animals at the farm.

At Las Loicas, guests stay in warm and comfortable cabins surrounded by nature, just a short walk from the Atlantic coast and the Desdémona shipwreck.

Modern life keeps us busy, but it rarely gives us the space to properly slow down, reconnect and be present with the people around us. At the estancia, life naturally moves at a different rhythm. Days are shaped by the weather, the animals, the ocean and the landscape around us. People spend more time outside, around the fire, at the table together or simply walking through nature without rushing anywhere.

Food is an important part of life at Las Loicas. Not in a formal way, but in the simple experience of gathering around the table, cooking together and sharing good food after a day outside.

The garden at Las Loicas started as a small experiment and slowly became an important part of life at the estancia. We are now even extending our greenhouses.

At Las Loicas we try to find a balance between using the land and allowing nature to regenerate. That is one of the reasons why we keep only a limited number of animals at the estancia. We share the farm with a few horses, sheep, chickens and of course Sarah’s two cats.

Sometimes the greatest adventure is not about going further, but about slowing down. Our Mindfulness Forest Walk invites you to experience Southern Patagonia at a different pace. Winding through our native forest, this self-guided trail encourages you to pause, breathe and reconnect with both nature and yourself.

When the sun sets, another side of Southern Patagonia begins to reveal itself. Far away from towns and city lights, Las Loicas enjoys exceptionally dark skies with no light pollution, creating the perfect conditions for stargazing. Many of our guests tell us they have never seen a night sky quite like this before.

Before the first settlers arrived, this land was home to the Selk’nam people, the original inhabitants of Tierra del Fuego. They lived in close connection with nature, moving across the island following the rhythm of the seasons, the guanacos and the winds. Their presence can still be felt in the silence of the steppe and in the names that remain on the map today.

Tierra del Fuego is Argentina’s southernmost province, the far edge of Patagonia and the gateway to Antarctica. Separated from the South American mainland by the Strait of Magellan, the island is shared between Argentina and Chile and still feels incredibly remote in many places.

Las Loicas is located on the Atlantic coast of Tierra del Fuego, near Cabo San Pablo, about three hours from Ushuaia. The journey itself is already part of the experience.

Las Loicas is more than just our estancia. For us, it is also a starting point to discover Tierra del Fuego and Patagonia in a slower and more personal way. Over the years we have come to know many special places and people across the island, and we love helping guests shape a journey that feels connected to the landscapes and the local way of life. Sometimes that means staying a few quiet days at the estancia, other times it means combining Las Loicas with other remote places or unique local experiences. We especially enjoy working with small family-run projects and local founders, places where the people welcoming you are often the same people who built the project themselves. We believe these kinds of experiences feel more genuine and personal. Whether it is a coastal hike, blokarting on the beach, a visit to a remote estancia, horse riding, fishing, or exploring further into Tierra del Fuego and Patagonia, we are happy to help create an experience that matches your interests and the spirit of Las Loicas: warm, grounded and closely connected to nature.
